The Columbretes Islands consist of a series of islets and reefs of volcanic origin, located within 56 kmoff the coast of Castellón. In order to maintain the ecological interest of the islands in cluding its uniqueseabed and protect several endemic species, this marine natural reserve was established. Due to the protectionstatus only l'Illa Grossa can be visited, at the same time it is the only inhabited Island. Once arrived at l'IllaGrossa there are many opportunities to learn about the history and it's ecological value by joining a guidedtour and consulting the visitor center.
